OFI 174: Staying Focused On Long Term Goals – Don’t Chase Bright Shiny Objects

This week we are discussing focus.  Focus on your business and focus on your long term goals.

Too many entrepreneurs learn how to make money, and then everything looks like an opportunity.  They start chasing the bright, shiny objects of new business opportunities and never get anywhere.  For your business to be a success, you have to stay focused on making that business a success and not starting over all the time just because something looks cool.

In our world we need to be doubly focused.  Remember that our goal is to start a business that will support our goal of farming.  So, you have to keep that long term goal very visible as well.  You must keep in mind that you are not trying to be a business owner.  You are starting a business to create a stream of revenue that will support your farm.

So, this episode is a reminder for myself as well as all of you that focus is imperative for success in entrepreneurship.
