I created “The Profitable SAE Student Workbook” to help FFA Advisors teach marketing methods to their students and to help FFA Students succeed in their entrepreneurship SAE’s. I hope you find this product as beneficial as all of the interviews I conducted to create it were to me!
SHOW NOTES
Introducing Anna Eubanks!
Anna Eubanks obviously loves animals and agriculture. She is raising quarter horses, lowline cattle and selling eggs from her chickens. I loved hearing about her passion for livestock. What was especially important to me was to hear about her developing her niche with lowline cattle.
She is already doing something to make herself standout with her cattle. This is so important when it comes to being able to survive as a livestock producer. If she was going to sell cattle as a commodity, then she would need a large herd so that she could still make money with lower profit margins.
However, with a niche market, like the one afforded to her with lowline cattle, she can charge more and increase her margins. It is a great thing for her to learn in high school, even if this does not turn out to be her long term plan.

Donate to FFA – One way that FFA students are able to start small businesses is through an FFA grant of $1,000. In 2014, 141 FFA students received these grants. With your donations, more students can get this head start – pay it forward.
REASONS TO DONATE TO FFA:
“Because American farmers are able to provide for so many of us, they give more and more of us the freedom to pursue goals and livelihoods beyond growing the food we need to survive.”
