I recently gave my first keynote speech ever to an audience of FFA students and advisors at the John Deere Ag Expo put on by the Montana FFA Foundation on the campus of Montana State University.  At the same conference, and in front of the same crowd, I tried a new workshop designed for agricultural communications students.  The workshop was a lot of fun and a big hit, and I am looking forward to doing it many times per year.

Agricultural Communications Workshop – Live Podcast Recording

In this workshop I teach students how to create a podcast episode by interviewing a student, live and in front of them for an actual episode of Off-Farm Income.  At the end of the interview there is a Q&A session.  Audience participation is involved, and it is a lot of fun for the audience, guest and host.

Keynote Address

This keynote is all about the future of agriculture and the ways in which each student in the audience can find their place in agriculture.  I incorporated my own story and winding path into, out of and back into agriculture into the message.
