OFI 315: If You Want To Farm, Shut Off The Television!

I was inspired over the Fourth of July this year, and I hope you were too.  We have so many freedoms and opportunities in our country that you cannot even begin to count them.  At no point in time in history has a nation been more free, more safe or more affluent.

I spent the 4th in Buhl, Idaho with Autumm and Hattie.  Buhl is Autumm’s hometown, and we have been going down there frequently to visit her dad.  A few weeks back I had noticed a gentleman with a business fixing up used, riding lawnmowers and selling them.  While we were there this week I saw a lady riding one of his lawnmowers and something dawned on me.  When it is hot in the summer, like it was this weekend, he is probably out in his shop working on mowers rather than watching television in the evening.

This was a lesson I wanted to share.  For all of us there is something that will distract us, will not benefit us and will keep us from getting closer to our goals.  Whatever, that is for you (with television being the metaphor), get rid of it and do something productive that moves you closer to your dream lifestyle!
