One of the things that has started to emerge as a pattern in my interviews with FFA students is how they incorporate technology into their agricultural pursuits. Today’s guest, Daniel Williamson, is selling the goats that he raises through traditional means. But he has also incorporated the internet into his marketing efforts. He now sells some of his purebred goats online, which allows him to reach further and reach more potential buyers. I think this is definitely an emerging trend, and something that we will see more and more of.
Daniel is also interested in research, and he was national proficiency finalist as a result of this. He started testing the water on his families farm and doing research about how bio-filters can remove nutrient contaminants. This led him to standing on the stage during the 2017 national FFA convention.
