OFI 630: Unexpected Rewards Of Entrepreneurship | Tuesday Edition Episode

Tuesday Episode

It has been a great week since we last visited on a Tuesday Edition Episode.  A lot has happened including a high profile interview for episode #632, some controversy regarding my love of Montana State University, gazing at the stars and of course, a great unexpected reward of being an entrepreneur.

Episode #632:

Coming up this Friday I get to interview Ken Coleman, the nationwide, syndicated radio host of the Ken Coleman Show as well as the host of the Entreleadership Podcast.  Ken works for Ramsey Solutions.  That is the company started and owned by Dave Ramsey.  Ken does two broadcasts for Dave Ramsey, is a frequent guest host on the Dave Ramsey Show and is also a frequent co-host on the same show.

Ken recently released a new book, The Proximity Principle: The Proven Strategy That Will Lead to a Career You Love.   I read this book cover to cover in one day. It is fantastic and there is so much in there to help you achieve your dreams.  You are going to love this interview.

Montana State Univeristy vs. Boise State University:

I have a good friend that I met at my first ever policing job in Tracy, California.  His daughter is going into her senior year of high school and looking at colleges.  Two of those colleges are Boise State University and Montana State University.

I am caught in a conflict.  I really am rooting for her to choose Montana State.  But, if she chooses Boise State University then our friends will visit us frequently over the next four years.  So, I find myself rooting for her to pick Boise State University as well.  I will tell the tale in this episode.

Checking Out The Sky:

The night before I recorded this Jupiter and Saturn were visible to the naked eye in the sky.  Hattie and I had a great time looking at Jupiter and the Galilean Moons through our spotting scope last night.  I hope you got to check it out as well.

Unexpected Rewards Of Entrepreneurship:

I received a great text from my former employee, John Turpin, late last week.  He and his wife purchased our first business, Idaho Gopher Control.  He has expanded the business and now has two machines to exterminate pocket gophers.

I was thrilled to hear from them and to know that they are not just succeeding but that they are thriving in this business.  I am so happy that the idea that both they and I had for them is working.  And I am thrilled that the business that I originally started is still going strong.  It is wonderful to see something that you started doing so well.  Leaving a legacy is awesome!

Thank you all for tuning in and enjoy the episode!
