OFI 720: Tips To Help Your New Agriculture Business Succeed | David Inskeep | SCORE

SHOW NOTES

KEY IDEAS:

I am constantly monitoring as much as I can in the world of agriculture to bring good guests and content to all of you so you can join me in living a life full-time on your farm.  To this end, I came across an article in The Hutchinson News out of Kansas a few weeks back that was titled “Tips To Help Your New Agriculture Business Succeed“.  Of course I was intrigued by this and thought that it might be a great fit for this show.

I reached out to the author, David Inskeep, and requested an interview.  He was gracious enough to come on the show today and share his experiences and what led him to write that article.

David is a retired investment banker, and he is now a volunteer for SCORE.  SCORE is a volunteer network of retired business experts that will help new entrepreneurs to get their businesses going.  As a result of what David encounters through these volunteer efforts he gets reminded of the challenges that so many entrepreneurs face.  And sometimes, he writes articles about these.  That is exactly what happened in this case.

On today’s show David is going to talk about the lessons he has learned as an investment banker as well as a volunteer with SCORE.  He will also talk about resources that you can access to help you succeed in your new agricultural business venture.
