ADVICE FROM KEVIN SIEVERKROPP:

Find Something You Enjoy: You have to got be true to what you are doing.  Doing something just for the money will lead to burn out and a poor work product.  This theme has been repeated over and over by my guests.

Patience: Kevin had to wait 1.5 years before he got his first big order.  Be patient and wait for it to happen for you.  Everyone I interview and every successful professional I listen to tells the same story – the average is 2 to 3 years before you start seeing success.  Settle in, do the work and wait for the payoff.  There is no instant success!

Follow Up: Exceed your customer’s expectations by following up with them and making sure that their expectations have been met or exceeded.  This follow up keeps you in the “top of mind” position.

KEVIN SIEVERKROPP’S PERSONAL HABIT THAT IS CONTRIBUTING TO HIS SUCCESS:

Record Keeping: Kevin describes himself as a meticulous record keeper.  He keeps records after every sale.  He suggests that you keep accurate records as well.

Analyze Success: Kevin maps his sales to see where they are coming from and to detect any trends.  No matter what you do, look for the trends so you will be able to market and predict trends.

BEST BUSINESS ADVICE THAT KEVIN SIEVERKROPP HAS RECEIVED:

DIMITT: Kevin taught me a new acronym here which came from a wrestling coach in his school days.  DIMITT means Determination Is More Important Than Talent.  How true this is!  The world is full of very talented individuals who have not achieved success in their particular area of talent.  Either they give into resistance, procrastinate, have no people skills or a myriad of other reasons hold them back.  Be the whole package and be determined!
